Gillette is an engineer and passionate entrepreneur. His professional career path includes, Citon Construction, Project Manager for twenty-five years, CEO of 16001 Schoolcraft LLC, Transitional Housing for the Homeless, Vayu Aerospace, and most recently Flight-Testing Engineer. Gillette’s education includes, liberal art studies Morehouse College, master’s in electrical & electronic engineering technology from Wayne State University Manor Hybrid/EV Vehicles. Greg has maintained multiple board affiliations in addition to currently being chairman of the Inkster Housing Commission board, he has been appointment board member for Inkster Housing Redevelopment Corporation, and Board Member for St. Clements Housing Board in Inkster, Michigan. Chairman Gillette’s mission statement intel’s learning as much as possible about the present model of low-income housing and its potential benefits to the homeless community. To provide leadership and accountability for the community of Inkster, Michigan in which he resides and ultimately help provide shelter for the underserved low-income community. Another goal of Gillette’s interest is in Multifamily Real Estate and the eradication of homelessness. Mrs. Moore has experience in community outreach, mentoring, and extensive service in supporting educational achievement for adults and children of all ages. She has received numerous awards and recommendations for community services. These range from Merits Awards, Outstanding Achievement, Music, Community Engagement, and several other awards. Mrs. Moore has been serving as Inkster Housing Commission Resident Council president for the last ten years, she manages to partner with various community organization Inkster, Michigan and the surrounding areas to help create Unity throughout the city. As president of IHC Resident Council, residents look to her as a leader who provides guidance and a person with empathy that lends assistance whenever necessary. She always puts other before herself and is an entrusted advocate for residents and the community. Mrs. Moore graduated from Wayne State University and Wayne State Center for High Technology majoring in education and teaching computer software, acquiring her teaching degree in Early Childhood education, teaching Elementary, and Special Education students. Attending both institutions prepared her to work with children of all ages and in community relations. Mrs. Moore was appointed by the Mayor to the Inkster Housing Commission Board in 2020 for a term of five year in which she currently holds the position of vice-chair of the board. The mayor appointed her because of her love, commitment, engagement and dedication to the Inkster community. Evonne Moore is a proud mother of three children, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren, with one on the way, that she anxiously awaits to meet. Miller enjoys doing 1–4-unit real estate developments in addition to his primary employment. Commissioner Miller has been on the Inkster Housing Commission board for over four years, serving in various capacities, from chairman to treasurer. Will is currently in his senior year of studying public and nonprofit administration at Central Michigan University. When Miller is not focused on handling his multiple business mandates, he enjoys volunteering on non-profit boards. In addition to the Inkster Housing Commission, he is also chairperson of Inkster’s federally qualified health center Western Wayne Family Health, chair of the community board of review for tax value appeals and am an active real estate agent. The housing commission is the best streamlined source for community development in our municipality. With this stellar education her career started out as Elementary school teacher, teaching third grade. Stroman received her Master's Degree in Special Education specializing in Emotionally Impaired students. Later she received the 15+ MS (Marygrove University) specializing in Masters in the Art of teaching. After several years teaching third/fourth grade students, Mable started teaching special education at the elementary school. Following this career path, she would later on be transferred to high school grades ninth through twelfth grade students teaching special education. As a special education specialist /teacher consultant and teaching general mathematics (her minor in Undergrad). Stroman has proudly served on the board of commissioners for several years (1997-2008) then again 2016 to present). Commission Stroman is very active with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Eta Iota Omega Chapter where she has had the honor to serve as president, graduate advisor, and many other officers - presently serving on board of the of its’ 501c3 Service Builders Foundation. Mable also holds to her credentials as being the former president of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., Michigan Metro Chapter and presently serving as treasurer. In additional Mable Stroman also serves on board of Directors of the Inkster Task Force. Her sincere passion is SERVICE to her community and others. In addition, James is a regional connector for the National Incarcerated Children’s Advocacy Network. Mr. Thomas is a council member on the National JLWOP Leadership Council (Human Rights Watch). James is also the CEO and president of Rising Sun Ink non-profit that he founded to improve the quality of life in communities impacted by poverty, homelessness, and incarceration. Mr. Thomas’ nonprofit provides food to 500 families each week in cities of Michigan such as Inkster, Detroit, and surrounding communities. Through his nonprofit initiatives his organization provides reentry resources and mentorship to impacted youth.
